What is an electric unicycle?
An electric unicycle (also referred to as EUC) is a self-balancing personal electric vehicle that you control similar to a Segway.
How far can they go?
The range varies from model to model, starting from 10km all the way up to 150km.
Isn't it dangerous?
While you are solely relying on software to keep you going, failures are very rare. Riders can go thousands of kilometres without incident. Ride smart and within your limits at all times.
What EUC would you recommend?

What do they cost?
EUCs range from $1000 to $6000. You would be looking to spend $1500 as a minimum.
I have poor balance, can I still ride an electric unicycle?
If you are able to ride a bike you'll be able to ride an electric unicycle.
Is there any training available in Perth?
There aren't any official trainers in Perth at the moment but there's a solid community of riders who can help out, just ask! It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours to start riding.

Where can I buy one?
There are currently only a few retailers for EUC's in Australia. Some of the local scooter stores occasionally stock basic models but for a more comprehensive range and specialist see the folowing:

What protective gear would you recommend?
At a minimum a helmet and wrist guards.
A full face helmet, knee guards and elbow guards are also highly recommended.
